Hello,
We would like to implement a function that will let our users authorize themselves when making a call.
For example user has unique id assigned in our database, let's say 12345
We would to make it possible for users to provide this id when making a call by providing this number after comma when calling.
ex. +47123456789,12345
So we will instantly know who is calling. Is something like this possible to implement?
Best regards,
Daniel

Hi Daniel,
The closest option on cucm is the Pause in speed Dial feature as explained in the following doc but it may not be exactly what you are looking for

If you had UCCX then you could probably write a script to force all calls via a script which would authenticate users by PIN. Not sure whether you can do this using IPCC Enterprise.

IMHO, running every outbound call via contact center is an option, but if this is UCCX you would be tying IVR ports for each call and sending every call through CCX which may not be optimal especially for calls from remote sites, introducing complexity to simple problem, requiring potentially transcoders as UCCX can speak one codec only, etc.. UCCE would have similar constraints.

Another consideration for this would be Forced Authorization Codes where you would have one for each user, or Client Matter Codes.
