Block all outgoing calls for one user Cisco CME 2951

Dear All,

I want to know how to block outgoing calls for one user, user only can do internal extension calls. I have attached the show tech here, please help me to configure the same as I am new to VOIP.

Hi,

Add a New COR like the one below. And have no member assigned to it.

dial-peer cor list NoOutbound

Add it under the required ephone

eg
ephone-dn 1
number 3001
corlist incoming NoOutbound

Thank you for the reply.

We need to block this feature for following phone. Please confirm the following config, so it should block all outgoing calls only internal extension whould work.

Also, just to know corlist incoming NoOutbound - this should be outbound as we are blocking outgoing calls?

Hi,

You need to apply the outgoing corlist on the outpount dial peer and the incoming cor list under the ephone.

I see your dial-peers don't have the outgoing cor assigned. So you need to assign it.

The thing is if no cor is assigned then everyone would be able to use that.

Thank you. So what I understand is when there is no cor list assigned to ephon so it will take all defined cor list in the CME.

Ex.

We have defined following cor list, but did not applied on any ephone, so anyone call oull ouside for local, ld and international calls.

Now, here we are creating new cor list and assigning to one ephone, so his calls will get match to cor list defined on ephone and do the action accordingly and if no cor list on ephone it will match all cor list configured.

Sorry, I am going in detail as I am at the begining of this VOIP concepts.

So final config to to achieve our task.

Hi,

You also need to apply the outgoing COR on the dialpeer. Its a lock and key mechanism. You have the locks in the dialpeer and the key in the ephone. So you have COR assigned in dialpeer and no cor in ephone then that phone would be able to dial through any DP irrespective of the outgoing COR in that.

"and if no cor list on ephone it will match all cor list configured." - Yes and that ephone can call any number which is configured on the CME router. Llink shared by Ajay gives a good understading about cor configuration and its behavior.

And finnaly you need to configure "corlist outgoing" on dial-peer level to block or access any dial number by ehone.
