We have CUCM 8.6.2 , we need to hide calling number from some IP Phones, how can we do that ?

this means some IP phones should not able to see the calling number in incomming calls.

Usually this question is asked in the opposite direction: how to hide a user's caller ID for calls they make.

You have two options within CUCM:

  1. Guide the call through a Translation (on net) or Route Pattern (off net) which has the Calling and Connected Line ID Presentation set to Restricted. If the phone is extension 2000 you would need everyone in the organization to match a translation pattern which restricts CID and has the CSS containing the real DN.
  2. Apply a Calling Party Transformation Pattern (pattern, partition, and CSS) to the phone. This can modify, or in your case hide, the calling party information. This may not work for Connected though so give it a try and fallback to option one if it doesn't cut it.

Additional details exist in the Features and Services guide under the Call Display Restrictions Chapter:
