Blocking SIP registration requests from SIP Phones to ITSP

Hello,

we have a customer with a CME 10.5 and SIP IP Phones. Also on the same box we have enable CUBE functionality because our customer has a breakout to PSTN through an ITSP.

The ITSP has request to block the sip registration messages from SIP IP Phones to go upstream to his registrar server. He wants to see only the registration request from the sip accounts on the sip-ua.

Is any way to block the registration messages from the SIP IP Phones like the no-reg command we use for the sccp ephone-dn?

Regards

Anestis

Hi,

Were you able to get this resolved? I am having the same issue in an SRST configuration. The logs on the router show continual registration attempts from the SIP phones to the ITSP.

The ITSP eventually starts blocking connections due to failed attempts.

Please try with 'no-reg' option

!
ephone-dn 1000 dual-line number 1000 no-reg both
!

or

!
voice register dn 1000
number 1000
no-reg
!

!---"no-reg both" means do not try to register either extension with SP SIP Proxy

On an SRST config, there is no lines for ephones, just the following:

voice register global
mode esrst
no outbound-proxy
system message !FAILOVER MODE CALL IT SUPPORT!
max-dn 20
max-pool 10
!
voice register pool 1
id network 10.21.3.0 mask 255.255.255.0
no digit collect kpml
voice-class codec 1
