I tried to install an updated firmware on a IP Phone 7960 that was running the SIP 08.9 firmware.
1. Unzipped P003-8-12-00.zip to the TFTP root directory
2. Updated SIPdefault.cnf file
3. Rebooted phone
4. Phone grabs IP and TFTP details from DHCP
5. Phone grabs SIPdefault.cnf and SIPMacaddress.cnf files and downloads P003-8-12-00.loads
Then it starts to verify the load, then starts a downgrading application then copies it to bank 1, then reboots itself.
I noticed that when it starts downgrading the application the red mute button ligthts up.
Any help would be appreciated. I also took a video of the process if interested.
