Good Day. We are new to Cisco CM moving over from a Nortel platform so any help would be appreciated. How can we build a Speed Call List in CM that can be used by an individual or by a group of users? How would the user use the Speed Call list from their Jabber Desktop client or phone? We are on CM 10.5.1 and Jabber 10.5.
If you want a shared set of "speed dials" (Because a real speed dial is tied to a physical button on your phone, and is configured PER phone), simply configure them as translation patterns so anyone can dial them.
As jaime indicated you can simply just setup translations to do a company speed dial. Another method is to use a third-party product such as "www.andtek.com" directory services.. Such as http://www.andtek.com/communications-products-directory.html.
