Hello,
we have CUCM cluster contain HQ site and 20 sites , how can we achieve below  requirements  by CAC .

as example we have these Sites A,B,C,D,E

1- Max simultaneously Calls  between two sites is 5 calls (Calls between site A and Site B  )
2- Max simultaneously Calls  between  one site and Multisite is 5 calls  (Calls between Site A and Sites B,C,D,E )

Thanks

Let's assume that you use G729. In this case do the following:

- Create the following locations (HQ, MPLS, BR-A, BR-B, BR-C, BR-D, etc)
- From location configuration create link from BR-A to MPLS with BW limited
to 120
- Create link from BR-B to MPLS with BW limited to 120
- Repeat the same config for each branch
- Finally, create link from HQ to MPLS with BW limited to 2400

This will achieve what you are looking for

Ramon,

CAC is very much tied to the bandwidth you assign to a location. so for 5xG711 calls, you will need to set aside 5x80kbps=400 kbps. (so G711+overhead)

this means the 6th call will be routed using AAR across the PSTN (which might not be usefull if you use centralised SIP).

really the remote site does not care where the call goes to. it just looks at its own location.

You can create a location called MPLS which simulates a cloud. Then each location should have a link to the MPLS cloud. Last make sure that the BW between Location A and MPLS is suitable for 5 calls as mentioned below by Dennis (example 5 G729 calls need 120).

For site-B, create a direct link between location A-B and have the BW on it for 5 calls.

Hello Mohamed ,
I can't get how this achieve my scenario ,to be clear

we have 20 branches and HQ sites what we need is :-

HQ site can make about 100 simultaneous  calls  over wan to all branches  but max 5 simultaneous   calls to each branch .

Each Branch (EXP Branch A)can make max 5 call over wan (may this 5 call to branch B ) or (may these 5 calls  divided to  2 calls to Branch B and the other 3 calls to Branch C so if branch A try to make 6th call ,this call will  be dropped  even if branch A  try to call another Branch (Exp Branch D )

Thanks

Hello Mohamed
So as per your recommendation and reply ,

CAC  does not care where the call goes to. it just looks at source  location of calls .Right or not ?

If it's right , i think we will face issue when HQ-site try to make simultaneous 10 calls to BR-A , it will success even the max calls from BR-A to MPLS is 5 and this will not achieve what we need .

If you follow what I suggested it won't pass cuz the only way to reach BR-A
is through MPLS link and that has 5 calls regardless where they are coming
from
