Call Hold/transfer Options analogue on FXS MGCP.

Hi Guys,

I have an issue where we are trying to enable the facility to be able to place a call on hold and/or the ability to transfer etc....

At the start we could not get the simple hold to work (via Flash key) until we changed the hookflash timer to "Hookflash-in Timing is set to max=110 ms, min=50 ms".....

Now we can put the call on hold but cannot recall the call (take off hold), also, when putting the call on hold, the CCM will provide dialtone to call another number ready for transfer however if the dialtone timer runs out, then the call on hold drops etc...

Any ideas?

Cheers!

Hi riddler2010,

This is working as designed.

Once the hook flash event is detected, the CCM plays the dial tone to the FXS port.

After this the phone connected to the FXS port dials digits. The new call is established on the second line.

When the next hookflash activity is done it is detected as "hung up message" and the call gets transferred.

The hold is possible but the resume will not be possible on the same call. The call can be transferred but cannot be resumed.

Here is a document explaining the hookflash transfer:

Thanks for that!

I am starting to suspect so but was wondering as I have had differing opinions as to it should work or not.

Cheers!

Thanks for the input.

In the end we offered "Call Park Direct" as an alternative.

Cheers!
