We have CM 6 (126.96.36.19990-1) and our users are starting to get Windows 7 machines.
The user login (https://192.168.1.1:8443/ccmuser/showHome.do) page locks up IE8. It works fine on FireFox and fine on IE 8 on Win XP.
Any idea what's wrong? Any way to fix it?

As an option, you could run a Windows XP guest with IE7 or IE6.

I read that bulletin before posting here and before opening the TAC case. I definitely see Unity listed and Contact Center. I don't see Call Manager listed in the bulletin.
Your workaround of having an XP guest would work. It would be usable for administration.
But, the feature I'm really concerned about is the end user login. It will be difficult for us to build an XP guest on 1,000 workstations and show our admin staff (non-technical) how to invoke and use a guest OS just to change the preferences on their phone.
Guess we could load Firefox or Opera, but again, it would just be for Cisco.
As we start refreshing desktops we're putting Windows 7 out with it. It hurts that the only major application we have that isn't compatible with Win 7 is Cisco UC. And that it will take a major platform upgrade (not just a point release) to get that compatibility.
Have you tried fiddling with the Compatibility View settings? Just an idea... If it works more reliably with that turned on you can push out the policy to use compatibility view for the CCMUser web site via GPOs.
Yeah, we tried compatibility view. No help.
It works in IE8 on Win XP, but not IE8 on Win7.
We're going to roll out 7,000 PCs this year. Users are excited as their old Celerons are four years old.
Now, I've got to tell them that Cisco CM will be compatible with Win 7 when 8.5 is released in the latter half of CY 2010 and that we will be able to go to it sometime in 2011.
Wonder if the Microsoft IPT works with Windows 7?
