Call Manager Express Install and Cisco ATA 187?? (In Argentina)

Hello All,

We were asked to review a BOM for a Call Manager Express install in Argentina and I have a few questions?  First of all, I thought Cisco moved away from the ATA's?  We have a quote for a Cisco 2951-CME-SRST/K9, and included in the quote is the cisco ATA 187.  Also, what kind of language support is available on the call manager express?  I worked with the call manager express a few years ago and there were languages that were not supported.

We are also seeing a lot of different models of phones on the bom we are reviewing.  There are 6921's, 6945's, 7945's, 7962's, and 7937 mode;s.

They also have a Unity express on here with 75 end user licenses and only 2 ports???

Any feedback here would be great.  Its been a long time since I looked at the CME, but this looks a little off to me.

Please let me know.

Thank you.

Rgds,

Vicky

Hi Vicky,

I don't have answers for all your questions, but this may help some

The ATA187 is the newest ATA model and is not EoL. It is supported along with the

phone models you quoted in CME 9.0

Cisco Unified CME 9.0 Supported Firmware, Platforms, Memory, and Voice Products

Localization is supported in CME as well;

As for the VM, 2 ports isn't going to cut it like you nicely noted. You will probably want to add 6-8 more at least

depending on the call/user patterns. If the customer is going to be building any AA/IVR's they will need separate

VM-IVR Port/sessions as well. This will be based on the newest CSL licensing scheme;

Cheers!

Hi Vicky,

2 VM ports won't be enough. Keep in mind you need ports to answer calls, message notification, dialout MWI and as Rob said if you'll have an AA you need more port sessions. I've seen that with CUE and 50 mailboxes you can use 6 VM ports and for around 80 you can use 8 ports.

Tere.
