Call Pickup Groups in CCM7

Hi,

I am having a problem with call pickups on CCM 7. The problem is I have 2 reception phones configured in a line group and a  pickup group. I have other users confiugred for the same pickup group so that they can pickup the reception phones when the receptionists are not there. These phones are not in the reception line group. However when they go to pickup a reception call, it fails. i.e. the pickup group is not working. Is there some operability issue between Line groups and call pickup groups in CCM 7?

Any help appreciated.

Hi Derek,

I have not tried this with CUCM 7.x, but this Hunt group/pickup restriction

has hit all CUCM 4.x, 5.x and 6.x versions so I am guessing it still applies

You have to set the line group in de same pickup group.

I'm not sure if this option is directly available in cucm 7, in previous version you would have to enable a special Cxxxxx id in the enterprise or service params to get the pickup field in the line group.

This setup does not work without the "workaround" shown below. Once you apply this you should be good to go

**Set enterprise parameter (System->Enterprise Parameters->Cisco Support Use 1) Cisco Support Use 1 to CSCsb42763 (case sensitive)

This operation added listbox (Route Plan->Route/Hunt->Hunt Pilot->hunt pilot XXXX -> Call Pickup Group) Call Pickup Group.

1.- Enter

CSCsb42763 (in mixed case) in the Enterprise Parameter 'Cisco Support

Use 1' under the new group 'Cisco Support use Only' and click update. Only the value

CSCsb42763 in this parameter can enable the configuration. Change the

value to anything else to disable this functionality.

2. Go to Hunt Pilot Configuration page and select a call pickup group from the Call

Pickup Group dropdown list and click update.

Call Pickup fails on Hunt List

Issue:

Call pickup fails for hunt list when call is CFA from Route Point in 4.1(2)ES41. This is not the designed functionality for this issue and will break the Call Pickup logic.

Workaround:

Use multiple shared lines & CFNA between each shared line.

Is this still the case for CCM 7. I have implemented this just now on a CCM7 server and it works fine.

I wonder why this is not fixed in CCM7.1 as well.

My client is running 7.1 and is extremely annoyed. Any way thanks for hte solution
