Hello,
According to what I saw a few months ago, 6921, 6941, etc. phones would allow to have multiple calls per line so we could have call waiting feature like most of the other Cisco phones.
We have several 6921 phones with busy trigger set to 1 and we can't modify it as it is a system option.
We have CUCM BE 8.5 and firmware 9.2.2 for those phones, is there anything we can do to enable multiple calls per line?

This appears to be possible on 8.6(1).
I don't have one to test but I created the device on my lab server running 8.6.1.10000-14 and I got the option to set the maximum number of calls.
It does have a note:
Note:The range to select the Max Number of calls is: 1-12
And so does the busy trigger:
(Less than or equal to Max. Calls)
But it's not greyed out as in previous versions.

Here is the info for CME
Cisco Unified CME 9.0 provides support for the Multiple Calls Per Line (MCPL) feature on Cisco Unified 6921, 6941, 6945, and 6961 SIP IP phones and Cisco Unified 8941 and 8945 SCCP and SIP IP phones.
Before Cisco Unified CME 9.0, the maximum number of calls supported for every directory number (DN) on Cisco Unified 8941 and 8945 SCCP IP phones was restricted to two.
With Cisco Unified CME 9.0, the MCPL feature overcomes the limitation on the maximum number of calls per line.
In Cisco Unified CME 9.0, the MCPL feature is not supported on Cisco Unified 6921, 6941, 6945, and 6961 SCCP IP phones.
In Cisco Unified CME 9.0, the default values for the busy-trigger-per-button command is 1 for the Cisco Unified 6921, 6941, 6945, and 6961 SIP IP phones and 2 for the Cisco Unified 8941 and 8945 SIP IP phones.
You can configure the maximum number of calls before a phone receives a busy tone. For example, if you configure busy-trigger-per-button 2 in voice register pool configuration mode for a Cisco Unified 6921, 6941, 6945, or 6961 SIP IP phone, the third incoming call to the phone receives a busy tone.

Just wondering... If there is a customer that does not have CUCM 8.6 but 8.5 and does not have the option to upgrade at this moment, is there any other option?
We know we can do the old workaround (create a second line on a different partition and css) but... is there any plan to include that feature on CUCM 8.5 applying a minor upgrade?

I'm running CME 9.1 with 6945s SCCP-9-1-1-0 and have the ephone for max-calls-per-button and can still make only 1 call. About to open a TAC case. Must be a bug.

If you are referring to OUTBOUND calls on the same DN, it is not a bug, is cisco design. CME does not support the SCCP version that 69xx phones use for that. So you will have to use another button to make a 2nd call.
for INBOUND, iv'tested and it works fine, so you may need to update phone firmware.
