Level 1

Hi All!

I have the same issue that John Gross had in 2011. Unfortunately, the answer given did not help me. The caller id displays as unknown.

This was the issue he had :

https://supportforums.cisco.com/thread/2120778

This was my configuration to start with:

!

voice-port 0/1/1

trunk-group Common

supervisory disconnect dualtone mid-call

supervisory custom-cptone 1

output attenuation -6

cptone RU

timeouts interdigit 40

timeouts ringing 60

timeouts wait-release 1

connection plar opx 002

station-id name 25442

station-id number 25442

After reading several documentations, this is what i have turned it to:

Have you tried a normal phone to test caller ID ?

Paolo,

Not yet. I was trying to avoid doing that since i am configuring the phone over VPN.

It is needed that you do that before anything else.

Hi Paolo,

I will try to get that done then update you.

Apparently, the Service Provider does not send caller ID by default o_0 !

Problem solved!

That is normal anywhere in the world.
