Hello,
I have a customer with CUCM 14SU1. They have recently purchased a VG410 which has 48 FXS ports which connect analog phones at one of their sites.
The VG410 is not supported as an SCCP gateway until CUCM 14SU3 so I have set it up with dial peers and used a SIP trunk to integrate with CUCM. There are Route Patterns on CUCM point to the gateway via a Route List--Route Group--SIP Trunk.
This works ok for two way calling but when a call is received on an IP phone the user only sees the calling number and not the name.
This is expected and to try to solve it I have configured a SIP profile on the VG410 to add a calling name to the From and Contact SIP headers.
When an analogue phone connected to a gateway FXS port calls an IP phone registered to CUCM I can see via RTMT live trace that the received SIP Invite contains the name information that was added by the gateway SIP profile - see below.
From: "Test Analog" <sip:5108426@10.0.20.200>;tag=67C42CC-1527
When CUCM sends an outbound invite to the IP phone this info has been stripped and just the number is included - see below.

Is there some way of getting CUCM to pass the name information in the outbound Invite to the phone?

As I responded to your other thread related to this you’ll need to modify more than just the From field for it to show.

Does the INVITE received by CUCM from the VG also include a P-Asserted-Identity or Remote-Party-ID header? Those will preempt the From header if present.

Thanks both,
As suggested by Roger I had to modify the Remote-Party-ID to get the name information passed through to CUCM Invites. Modifying just that causes CUCM to use the name in both the From: and Remote-Party-ID: headers.
Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction.
