I have a situation where I have many branch office voice gateway fxo's are configured via plar commands to transfer incoming calls to a central operator. All the voice gateways are h323.
The problem I have is the operator does not know where they call originated from and therefore does not know the best person to xfer the call to.
I would like to label these calls with a name per originating gateway or port so that calls that come in through branch1 are displayed Branch 1 at the attendant console.
Is there a way to do this?
Thanks,
Michael

Under the FXO port in the IOS GW try to add:
station-id name command
For exmaple:
voice-port 0/3/0
station-id name Line1
and see if that helps
Thanks

No, that doesn't seem to work. No name is added to the caller id. All it seemed to do is when I make an outgoing call from that gateway to the PSTN, it reports back to my IP phone that I am calling "Line1"...
