Hi,

Can you try the following steps:

Add a user in CCM with user ID of the DN , for example 1000

-add the sip profile or use default

-add a SIP Phone security profile (non-secure) and enable digest

authentication

-add the 3rd party SIP phone manually (Device/Add)

(i believe you need to change this Enterprise parameter to make it work as

SIP for auto registration: "Auto Registration Phone Protocol")

-associate the user you created to this phone

On the phone itself:

-you need the SIP proxy address which is your CCM IP address: example :

10.1.1.1: 5060

-add that user ID you created in CM 1000

** note **

"Enabling Digest Authentication for Third-Party SIP Phones

To enable digest authentication for third-party SIP phones, the

administrator must create a Phone Security Profile. (See Phone Security

Profile Configuration in the Cisco Unified CallManager Administration

Guide.) On the Phone Security Profile Configuration window, check the Enable

Digest Authentication check box. After the security profile is configured,

the administrator must assign that security profile to the SIP phone by

using the Phone Configuration window. If this check box is not checked,

Cisco Unified CallManager will use digest authentication for purposes of

identifying the phone by the end user ID, and it will not verify the digest

password. If the check box is checked, Cisco Unified CallManager will verify

the password"

Thanks for the help. The only thing I didn’t have was the digest authentication. I added that and no go. Funny thing shouldn’t I at least see something in the syslog?

I have customer verify ip address and port and CM.

ON the polycom for sip there is proxy server and server1. I put publisher for both. Does that sound right? I don’t know the difference.
