Hi,
My customer has two callmanagers 6.0.1 (publisher &subscriber). We need to reset the OS password.Do I need to reset the password on both call managers to make it effect? While I reset one of the callmanagers password, will the phones go down or the database of the other callmanager get corrupted?
What can I do if the VGA card of the publisher is not working? Is there any other method rather than going for Cisco TAC support?
Your valuable commends will be appreciated.
Regards,
Bibin

The procedure:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/cucos/6_0_1/cucos/iptpch2.html#wp1040303
You need to have physical access to the system so that you can insert the CD/DVD. It can be any CD/DVD (except music). It is just a measure to ensure you have physical access to the system.
If you don't remember the admin password then you will need to reset it on both systems. IOW, the admin and cluster security passwords are not replicated between systems.
If you can't get video from the on-board VGA then you would have to go through Tac and the RMA process if you want to attach a monitor.
I am pretty sure the pwrecovery/pwreset logon only works when you are directly attached to the console. I just tried via SSH on my lab system (granted it is a 7.1(3) system).
HTH.

Bill
