Can I use a Cisco phone with only a mobile device?

Is it possible to use a Cisco IP phone (exp. 8861 series) without it being connected to a server and use it with only a mobile device on bluetooth? If yes does the phone need to be set up (with a server), or can I use it out of the box?

To pair 8861 with a mobile using Bluetooth , the 8861 should be in registered state.
