Can I use Cisco Jabber and have it so they can log in and out of a Hunt Group.
I need a way for users to log in and out (Hunt Group?) to assist take calls to an extension.
I don't think I have the option to use WebEx.
I think a physical phone or Jabber I think are my options

It won’t have any impact on users. However you might want to create a copy of the current profile and add the option there. At least if you don’t intend to enable it for all users.

I am unclear about whether you are using CUCM or Webex.
If you are using CUCM, edit the UC Service "Jabber Client Configuration (jabber-config.xml)" to add Policies > EnableHuntGroup = True
For a phone, you can put the "Hunt Group Logout" key on a physical button in the Phone Button Template, or you can add the "HLog" softkey to a custom Softkey Template.
I hope this is helpful.

Both Jabber and Webex applications support login/out of Hunt group. Both uses the same parameter as @Maren Mahoney shared to make this visible in the application.

Hey
Yes you can set up Cisco Jabber so users can log in and out of Hunt Groups but it depends on how your CUCM (CallManager) and Hunt Pilot are configured. There’s a setting called 'Hunt Group Logout' that needs to be enabled in the user's service profile, and their Jabber client should then show a button to log in/out.

I am using CUCM (Call Manager) System version: 15.0.1.12900-234
I can't find this file. "If you are using CUCM, edit the UC Service "Jabber Client Configuration (jabber-config.xml)" to add Policies > EnableHuntGroup = True"
Nor can I find "There’s a setting called 'Hunt Group Logout' that needs to be enabled in the user's service profile, and their Jabber client should then show a button to log in/out."
I found this, but not sure this is what either of you are talking about.
Sorry to have to ask, but could you clarify where the settings are?

It is under User Management > User Settings > UC Services > UC Service Type: Jabber Client Configuration (jabber-config.xml) and this is the setting you are looking for.

Thank you Roger!
I'm going to have to add this policy and need to know if this is service impacting to add this.
Will it interrupt current Jabber users or any other phone?

Are you saying that you don’t have any Jabber XML file UC policy or are you asking if you should add it to a current or new Jabber policy? I would recommend doing the latter and then set that policy as used on the end users that this pertains to.

Hi Roger,
I do have the Jabber XML.
It doesn't have the Policy "EnableHuntGroup"
I need to add the new Policy to Jabber XML what if any impact will adding the "EnableHuntGroup" policy have on Jabber uses that are logged in to Jabber?
TIA
