Cannot Check Voicemail From Outside Line

When calling any of the phones in office once the voicemail kicks if I press * it ask for pin and to hit #. once I do that it says this feature is temporarily down.

Anyone know how to fix this? or where I should begin to look on either the CUPS or CUCM?

Start mentioning VM system and version you're using.

We are using the Business edition so as far as I know its all rolled in to one. But we are on

CUCM version 8.6.2.20000-2.

Cisco Unity Connection Version 8.6.2.20000-76

CUPS Version 8.5.2.10000-49

Hi Todd,

We should be able to figure this out

Generally when you press * during a user greeting the system

asks you to enter the "ID followed by #" not "PIN followed by #"

can you double check that for us.

The other thing that would be a more common remote access

config would be to use a DID for your VM pilot number or a least route

a DID to your VM pilot number for easy access to the Sign-In

conversation. Have you tried that?

I feel embarresed now. it was asking for ID first. so i enterted the extension then it ask for vm pin and hit #. that fixed it. thanks!
