Cannot make out going call with call manager 8

Hello,

I'm woking for a voice project and having some issue with configuration. Please give me some advice.

The device I'm using are..

  1. 2911 Router as a MGCP Gateway
  2. Call Manager 8 BE
  3. ISDN 30  and
  4. a few cisco ip phones 7942

I have configured MGCP Gateway on 2911 Router, basic installation for Call Mgr. I've also done creating device, Call List, Call Group and Call pattern.

Configuration should be a simple one as this is small project with 50 users.

But somehow I cannot make out going call and also cannot receive incoming call.

What might be a problem here?

Any of your comment and suggestions are very much appreciated.

Thanks for your help!

Sincerely,

Andrew

Looks like your E1 link is up.  Can you run a 'debug isdn q931' on your gateway, do an inbound and outbound call and send the output.  Also, do a 'show ccm-manager' on the gateway as well.

We'll need more information to give you anything helpful.  You mention an MGCP gateway and also mention inbound calls so I imagine calls are only failing through inbound/outbound through your gateway, not IP Phone to IP Phone.  Is your gateway showing registered in Call Manager?  Have you configured partitions/calling search spaces accordingly, ex. Can your phones CSS access the route patterns you are trying to call, does your MGCP gateways inbound CSS have access to the phones?  Sounds to me like the gateway is down.  I'd do a show controller t1 (or e1) and if it's a PRI do a 'show isdn status' and see if that looks good.

Hi Clileikis,

Thanks for your reply!

Yes, I make a call internally IP phone to IP phone and my gateway was registered with Call Mgr.

Sorry for my VOIP experience, Do I need to configure for partitions? Is it because of the prefix digits configuration was worng under call list?

Please guide me how to check for the following?

1.     Can your phones CSS access the route patterns you are trying to call?

2.     Does your MGCP gateways inbound CSS have access to the phones?

Here's "show controller e1" and "show isdn status"

You are seeing a few slips on the line actually, do a 'clear counters' on the device and monitor the device to make sure they're not incrementing.

Hi Aokanlawon,

You are right! I have configured wrongly the route pattern.

After adding PreDot under connected party transformations, outgoing call can be called

Thank you guys for your kind help!

Cheer,

Andrew
