Cant Config CISCO 7040

Hi

we have a few CISCO 7940 in our office and when i want to config them its they reset themselves all the time. i dont have chance to do all the steps for configuration because during the configuration it reset itself. there's a few more cisco 7940 and they doesn't have this problem. what should i do!!?

if the frame ware need to change or upgrade i don't know how to do it!!! 

if theres a solution please help me.

Could you please provide some more info, especially on what type of PBX you use, is it CME or CUCM? 

As you may be aware of Cisco 7940 are EOL (Cisco Unified IP Phone 7940G - Retirement Notification - Cisco) however, you may try for testing purposes to factory reset one of them and try to re-register it to your system.

I did that. I reset the phone but when I connect it again it reset itself... I really don't know what should I do!!!

also I don't know  CME or CUCM means.

how can I config it?
