AMA-CUCM Troubleshooting: Best Practices for Reading Trace Files


CCM 7.1.2 - Calls on hold / transfers cutting off calls


Recently we have been having a few users reporting that they are having calls cut off when the are either   

     1. trying to transfer calls

     2. putting calls on hold

I have been unable to replicate the issue and i'm unsure of where I would start to look for possible causes. The users are telling me it doesn't happen all the time but it does it every now and again. Within the RTMT I can see that we get the 'Route List Exhausted' warning every so often. I've been told in the past that this can be ignored though.

Also reported is kind of similar with our Helpdesk on site who use Attendant Console version When they are transferring calls and the other end does not answer, the call appears back on their Attendant Console screen. They then cannot answer that call or any other call or perform any task within the screen until eventually an error message with 'Unable to retrieve call' appears. When they click ok and the call is cut off.

I'm not sure if these two could be related issues but troubleshouting this side of CallManager is something i no nothing about and any clues on what i should start looking at would be helpful.
