CCM 8.6 corporate directory search by departments

Hello, we are implementing a new mega-cluster for a southwest state with potentially 30,000 endpoints, what would be the best approach in allowing state employees to only see employees in their department, and then search outside of their department if needed.

CUCM allows you to utilise third party directory servers for functions such as this. One I have found to be effective for this purpose is: http://www.uplinx.com/enterprisedirectory.htm
