CCM lost the MGCP control of the Gateway - DMVPN Circuit

Hi All,

We have a remote office with a mgcp gateway [ 2800 Software (C2800NM-ADVIPSERVICESK9-M), Version 12.4(24)T ] registered to Cisco Callmanager 4.1.3 thru a DMVPN connectivity.

The Callmanager is losting the control of the PRI two times per week...so inbound and outbound calls has been affected, do you have ny insight on this error?

I used to have this same problem so I converted all my remotes to H323. Backhauling a D channel across the WAN always seemed to introduce more problems than it was worth. While MGCP is easy to use, H323 is far more flexible and once you get used to it you will love it. Just my two cents on your problem. TAC simply blamed the network while running MGCP so they were no help.

However I found something that I don't have configured (in red) maybe can help. Did you try with this before to go H323?

Example:

Router(config-sccp-ccm)# registration retries 15

(Optional) Sets the number of registration retries that SCCP tries to register with the Cisco CallManager.

retry-attempts—Range is 1 to 32. Default is 3.

connect retries number

Example:

Router(config-sccp-ccm)# connect retries 5

(Optional) Specifies the number of times that a DSP farm attempts to connect to a Cisco CallManager when the current Cisco CallManager connections fails.

• number—Range is 1 to 32. Default is 3.

connect interval seconds

Example:

Router(config-sccp-ccm)# connect interval 1200

(Optional) Specifies the amount of time that a DSP farm profile waits before attempting to connect to another Cisco CallManager when the current Cisco CallManager fails to connect.

• seconds—Range is 1 to 3600. Default is 60.

keepalive retries number

Example:

Router(config-sccp-ccm)# keepalive retries 7

(Optional) Sets the number of keepalive retries from SCCP to the Cisco CallManager.

• number—Range is 1 to 32. Default is 3.

Unfortunately that is the first thing the TAC played with but maybe you will have better luck than I did! Good luck to you!
