CCME Call establishment problem

Hi,

I have a 2821 router with CCME 4.0.2 that is connected to PSTN network via VIC2-4FXO.

I have a problem with call establishment because:

- when there is a call from PSTN network to IPphone, the associated FXO port rings but IP phones with the same phone number doesn't ring

- when there is a call from IP phone to PSTN network, the FXO port is correctly selected but the calls are not established

I have issued the command debug vpm all and then I tried a simulated call with the command "csim start <dialstring>" that failed.

These are the logs, anyone can help me?

Hi Antonio,

Where are you located? The port is configured for ground start, but usually ground start is not available outside north america.

How did you "associate" the phone to FXO port ? "connections plar opx", or ?

Hi,

I am located in Italy. Actually I have configured the FXO port for ground start and the phone number associated with the FXO port is configured directly on the IP phone.

These are the some configuration's details:

- voice port

voice-port 0/3/2

signal groundStart

cptone IT

impedance complex2

description mysociety_tel

incoming alerting ring-only

caller-id enable

- Two outbound dial peer associated with the voice port 0/3/2

dial-peer voice 7 pots

destination-pattern 0.T

port 0/3/2

forward-digits all

exit

dial-peer voice 8 pots

destination-pattern 3.T

port 0/3/2

forward-digits all

exit

- ephone

ephone-dn 2

number xxxxxxx

name mysociety_tel

ephone 12

keypad-normalize

mac-address xxxx.xxxx.xxxx

type 7911

Hi Antonio,

1st, the port must be loop start. There is no ground start support in Italy.

2nd: with fxo ports, you never know what number has been called, it is not sent in signaling.

So you need "connection plar opx " under voice-port. usually you use a local extension number for that, like 2xx.

If you want to be able to direct calls depending on the number called, etc, get ISDN BRi with DID. ("selezione passante" or "multinumero"). Also with ISDN BRI you will have a lot of more features and stability.

Hope this helps, please rate post if it doees!

Now it's ok.

I have configured the voice port in loop start with the command "connection plar opx" and I have deleted the command "caller-id enable ".

Thanks

Antonio

Glad to know it works. If you have more ports, remember you can put the as "trunk group" and configure a single dial-peer. Plus for your convenience, below a dial-peer set for the italian mobile operators, that will allow only the numbers that are valid according to the prefix. The other advantage is that you can count calls made to each operator with "show dial-peer voice",

Grazie per il rating e buona fortuna!
