ndegwajim
Level 1
Level 1

The CCME router indicates that the 7940 phones are picking an ip address but the network settings on the phones don't indicate the IP. On the other hand, the 7975 phones has been correctly assigned an IP but the phone doesn't get it's assigned extension. Output below

Hi,

Your IP phone loads don't look right , it looks like you have downloaded firmware files for a CM5X and above.

You need to download the correct IOS version and all the associated files for CCME first.

cheers

Mark

Hi,

Mark's right the files you have are for CUCM. You can confirm this by performing a debug tftp events.

I have just upgraded the firmware in a lot of our sites, below is a list of the files that you need on your flash:

SCCP41.8-5-2S.loads
cvm41sccp.8-5-2TH1-9.sbn
jar41sccp.8-5-2TH1-9.sbn
dsp41.8-5-2TH1-9.sbn
cnu41.8-5-2TH1-9.sbn
apps41.8-5-2TH1-9.sbn

Once uploaded you will need to create cnf files again and remove the old load commands and add the new ones in -

load 7961 SCCP41.8-5-2S

Cheers,

Phil
