I am new to CER solution and the questions bellow will sound probably odd
We are in a location where the E911 service is not currently available.
Our Customer wants to use the CER to give location détails of the caller who dial 911.
We know that we can configure 911 Location ( ERL ) and associate a specific DID with the location, and we can ask our service provider who carries the DID's to add specific detail of the location on the DID...
BUT
In our scenario do we need DID specificly to act as ELIN or can we use the company DID ?
With our scenario (with no E911 available) can we use the ELIN Feature ?
If we use ELIN, do we have to specify to our service provider that the number ordered will be used as an ELIN ? & Why or Why not?
What is the difference with the information provided with the ELIN Feature VS the information provided by a basic DID ?
What aditionnal feature does the E911 provide to 911 responders ?
