CFwdAll non-primary line

Hello,

Is there any way to use a button on a 7940 or a similar phone to forward all calls on a non-primary line on CME/UC-540?

The CFwdAll button works fine for the primary line, but I would like to control the other lines assigned to buttons on my phone.

Thanks in advance,

Greg

Hi Greg,

Can you try pressing the second line button before pressing

CFWDALL. In CME this should work

None of the messaging products have this ability.

They do not interact with the CUCM DB to modify this.

If possible at all, it would require UCCX/UCCE to do this via prompts.

Hi Greg,

You are most welcome

The only method to Call Forward the phone is via the phone itself

or the user access GUI.

Cheers!

Rob, thanks. Will try it today.

Is there any way to call into CUE and do the same via prompts?

My users would like to be able to forward to their cell phones when they cannot make it to the office in time...

Thank you!

Greg

Hi Rob and Greg,

Did this ever end up working? I have a CME 10.0 with a 7965 phone as SCCP with 3 buttons, all 1:1 2:2 3:3 buttons. When I open line 2 or line 3 and hit CfwdAll I get dial-tone. I even tried entering in another 4 digit extension regardless of the dial-tone and that just ended up placing a phone call to the extension. The primary top line has no problem doing CfwdAll. Also, I created a username and password for the ephone and logged into the GUI and do not see anywhere to specifically put call forwarding on individual DNs. I can add speed dials but that's about it. Maybe I'm missing something?

Hi Jeff,

I believe the problem here is that the Softkeys for the "Seized" state need to be updated to include CfwdAll. You can change that using the steps in the link below;

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucme/admin/configuration/guide/cmeadm/cmesoftk.html#12485

Cheers!

Rob, man thank you for checking in on this. Turns out that was part of the solution. The other part was the firmware that the 7965 was using is broken for 2nd line CfwdAll selection. I had to downgrade the firmware to 9-3-1SR3. It appears the 9-4-X firmware chain breaks the feature on non-primary lines for CME 10. Perhaps CME 10.5 might work and is more compatible but we have not upgraded to 10.5 yet.

Hi Jeff,

You are most welcome my friend!

I don't see any related bugs for the 9-4-x firmware or CME 10.0 but maybe I'm just missing something. At least you have it working now :)

Cheers!
