Change in display Name in Fax machine on H323 GW

Hi,

Need to change current fax number from XXX-XXX-1234 to XXX-XXX-4321 on the FXS port on h323 Gateway, but the Caller ID should be displayed as  XXX-XXX-1234

Current configs:

voice-port 0/2/1
 station-id name Xerox Copier 1
 station-id number XXXXXX1234
 caller-id enable

Hi.

If you mean the printed number that shows on fax received from a remote fax, you should be able change it directly on you fax machine and leave the voice port with current config

Hi Carlo,

I will be changing station ID number but customer wants the old number to be displayed on the FAX machine, where customer will be sending fax to the old number  XXX-XXX-1234 but it should be received on the new number  XXX-XXX-4321, correct me if I amwrong, can I apply the below voice translation rules

voice-translation profile incoming fax
translate called 1
translate calling 2

voice-translation rule 1
rule 1  /XXX-XXX-4321/ /XXX-XXX-1234/

voice-translation rule 2
rule 2 /XXX-XXX-1234/ /XXX-XXX-4321/

Hi.

For incoming calls, sure you can.

For outgoing calls, no because the number is fixed on that line by Carrier.
