CIPC Network Tab Grayed Out

I am trying to install CIPC on a new windows 7 machine.  When I go to the network tab, all the options are grayed out, and I can not change the network interface, or the name of the device.

The CIPC will be registered to a CM version 8.0.2.40000-1 installed on VM.

This is likely because you're not running it with administrative privledges.  Try right clicking on it and selecting "Run as Administrator".
