Cisco 2911 auto attendant and gateway configuration question

Dear All,

This is first time we use Cisco IP Telephony solution.

We have 2 MCS7825 (publisher and subscriber with CUCM version 8.5.1) and 1 Cisco Router 2911 with 5 x VIC2-4fxo (installed on Cisco Router 2911).

Cisco Router 2911 using  IOS Version 15.0(1r)M15 and CUE 8.6.1 installed on ISM

We want use Cisco Router 2911 as voice gateway and auto attendant for MCS7825.

our question:

- How to create auto attendant on Cisco 2911 and use it with MCS7825 (for example: incoming call from PSTN will play auto attendant)?

- How to create hunting outbound call to PSTN from MCS7825 that use Cisco2911 as voice gateway (When someone dial pstn number for example: 9+external number, it automatically  will use idle FXO port on Cisco2911)?

Note: On CUCM  Device Gateway Menu, it only support 2 protocol (SCCP and MGGCP) for Cisco 2911.

Thanks For Your Attention

Hi,

You will need to build your gateway router as an H323 gateway.

If you want to run the gateway as a basic auto-attendant have a look at our friend Paolo's site re the TCL/IVR scripts you could use.

Dear All,

Thanks for information that you give to us. We have try to build H323 Gateway on Cisco 2911. We have configure on CUCM and Cisco 2911

On CUCM:

- Create H323 gateway from Device > Gateway (H323 Gateway). At H323 device we enter Cisco 2911 ip address (ex: 10.107.146.3)

- Create Route/Hunt > Route Pattern to create outgoing call using H.323 gateway that we create before (ex: 1XX, using gateway 10.107.146.3)

Note: In this example we connect our PABX Extension on Cisco 2911 Router FXO port 0/0/0

On Cisco Router 2911:

- interface GigabitEthernet0/0

ip address 10.107.146.3 255.255.255.0

duplex auto

speed auto

h323-gateway voip interface

h323-gateway voip h323-id HVoiceGW1

h323-gateway voip bind srcaddr 10.107.146.3

- voice-port 0/0/0

signal groundStart

echo-cancel coverage 64

timing hookflash-out 50

connection plar opx 7998

description inbound FXO direct to Auto-Attendant

caller-id enable

- dial-peer voice 5 pots

no tone dialtone remote-onhook

description FXO port testing for outgoing

destination-pattern 1..

port 0/0/0

forward-digits all

- dial-peer voice 500 voip

description inboumd FXO-test to auto-attendant

destination-pattern 7998

session target ipv4:10.107.146.1

session transport tcp

dtmf-relay cisco-rtp

codec g711ulaw

no vad

After we do it, we test it.

1. We test with calling extension number our PABX that connected to Cisco Router 2911 FXO port 0/0/0, the result we can hear auto-attendant voice

2. We test from IP Phone that registered to CUCM make outbound call (ex: from IP phone we dial 105), the result on IP Phone we hear busy tone

Our question:

- What cause busy tone when we make outbound call from IP Phone?

We attach debug voip dialpeer on Cisco Router 2911  when we dial 105 (debug_voip_dialpeer_105.txt) and 111 (debug_voip_dialpeer_111.txt from IP Phone

Thanks For Your Attention

Hi,

So your calls reaching the 2911.

You are matching dial peer 5

Are you sure that your POTS FXO is ground start

You could try loopstart

If it is definitely ground start try reversing the polarity of the feeding pair of the line.

Try debug vpm signal

Alex.
