Hi Team,
We are planning a migration from PRI to SIP. Could you confirm if any licenses are required for this transition?
Attached are the outputs from the show version and show license commands for your reference.
Best regards,

You need SIP trunk session license for this.

However your router is end of sale and end of support. So you’ll not be able to procure the licenses needed.

You need CUBE licenses when moving from PRI to SIP. The new CUBE licensing is subscription-based and uses smart licenses. As far as I know, your ISR29XX doesn’t support smart licensing, so purchasing new CUBE licenses won’t be useful as the router wouldn’t be able to make use of them
This hardware has reached its end of life, and you should consider replacing it with the 8200/8300 router.
If I remember correctly, the 2900 router uses RTU licensing, which is paper-based. You should be able to use the CUBE feature up to the hardware’s capacity without adding additional licenses. However, it’s not ethical or recommended to do so in a production environment
