Cisco 4000 series Voice compatibility and SIP

Hello,

I hope everyone is doing great. I am planning to deploy a Cisco 4351 with SIP to the PSTN although the Call Manager Cluster that I will using is at 8.5 version,Now I am almost positive that the Cisco 4k series will not work with cucm 8.5 using MGCP BUT since I will not be using MGCP, is there any known compatibility issues IF i configure the cisco 4351 with a sip trunk on the UCM side as well as to the ITSP side?.

Hi Cesar,

I don't see any limitations if you use it as a CUBE with cucm 8.5, however you need cucm 9.1.2 or above to use its DSP's for Conferencing, transcoding,MTP, and RFC 2833 as per the last row of Table 7 of the following link
