Hi Pavlo,

I would suggest a restart of the tftp service followed by phone reset. If the issue persists please provide a packet capture from the phone.

Hi Pavlo,

In addition to what Manish has said, you can also have a look into the link since error snapshot talks about Time zone data download failed

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/unified-communications/unified-communications-manager-callmanager/118744-technote-cucm-00.html

Avoid Problems Related to DST Changes on CUCM and Cisco IP Phones

In order to avoid known problems with DST update changes on phones and CUCM systems (from Version 8.X to Version10.5), remember these concerns:

  • You must keep your CUCM system updated with the newest release of DST .cop file available on Cisco.com.

  • Every time you update the CUCM system with the new DST .cop file, the tzdata jar files also must be updated. In order to avoid any compatibility issues with phones that run old firmware, it is highly recommended to keep the system updated with the latest device pack release.

  • Every time you see the "Time zone data download failed" message in the phone's status messages, you must investigate because it is highly possible that the phone will have problems with the correct time display and will run into problems during the DST update.

  • Be aware that Cisco cannot predict when DST rules will be changed, and this is why there is a need to release and install DST .cop files every time there is an announcement that rules are changed

Hi,

tftp restart and phone reset don't resolve problem. The problem is: Phone can't register with Publisher (first in CM group) and registers with Subscriber. Then phone detects that Publisher is online and try to register with it. But it fails and registers with Subscriber and so on.

What can I see in capture? I don't want to post it in Internet. Can I send it to your e-mail?

Are there other phones registered with the Publisher server? If not , can you check if callmanager service is running on the publisher.

Manish

There are registered a lot of devices with both Publisher and Subscriber: 79XX phones, CIPC, Cisco jabber, 3rd party SIP phones, etc.

There are device packs on both servers with latest firmware for 7861.

You can check in the captures if the phone is sending a register request to Pub and if Pub is responding with a 200 ok. If not then this should be investigated on cucm side, you may contact TAC if you do not want to share traces over support community.
