I need to upgrade CUCM cluster from 851 to 851su3...I have already installed an upgraded phone load for the 7925 wireless phones (1.4.2es3) that is newer release of load than the upgrade (1.4.1) I'm going to. My question is, does the configuration and all of the TFTP files get copied over during the upgrade process so I dont have to worry/consider about phones "downgrading themselves" ?

Hi Thomas,
Yeah, if you're not careful the phones will actually try to load the "New"
Device defaults which in your case would mean a firmware downgrade for the
7925's. One of the best answers I've seen in regards to preventing this from happening
is from one of my faves Bill Bell from CNC (+5 Bill)

Thanks a million.. I dont post much, but to get an answer from the "Almighty Rob" is an honor! I messed around in my lab, and right, make sure TFTP is stopped because the phones will try to downgrade if the defaults are not changed! Again, thanks a million!

Hi Thomas,
You are most welcome Thanks for the very kind (but highly exaggerated) words as well
And thanks for posting back with your results as well. Much appreciated. +5
Cheers!
