copied SCCP41.8-4-3S on device page option- phone load name-rebooted the phone. But it remaines stuck on base versionSCCP41.8-2-1S. Unplugged and plugged the cable of the phone.Did not help. You need to restart the tftp service on all the servers running it. You also need to install the cop files on all the servers in the cluster

Have you installed the cop file for firmware SCCP41.8-4-3S on your CUCM server? After installing it, did you restart yout TFTP service on CUCM?

Hi Aokanlawon,
Update - As suggested we would be confirming again and in case not available would upload the the .cop file on all the nodes in the cluster. Wanted your suggestion whether the below mentioned path for step upgrade is correct or does it need to be something else:
SCCP41.8-2-1S(current base version) ------ > SCCP41.8-4-3S ( intermediate version ) ---- > SCCP41.9-2-3S . ( device default).
Also the availbility of the .COP file has to be done via the OSadmin , correct ?? Can you confirm the exact location for checking the same? Thanks.

Hi Aokanlawon,
The device default has been finally set up on the phone- and it is registered- reason was that the file was not all on the nodes ( and as the DHCP) registers the phone to any of the CM servers, and since you so correctly pointed out- we placed the . cop on all of them, calls are flowing for now. But there is one issue still left..the device ip address >> does not show the device page yet. till the intermediate version, it used to show, but for the last 30 minutes>> the page is not opening.
Do we restart Tomcat or any other service for same, or are we still missing a thing yet. Thanks.
Note: Have not started the TFTP yet.

Hi Aokanlawon
Hope you are doing well...I like to know more on this
1. Can you please tell me what is the diffrence between Firmware load and .COP file.
2. Do i need to load the Firmware file and .COP on all the servers in the cluster even though the phone is registered to a perticular cucm server.

The .cop file has the firmware load required by your phone. Yes you need to, the reason is because in the future the phone may not be registered to this server. Things can happen and you can move the phone around...or the active server may fail and the phone needs to re-register to another server..hence you need to ensure that all the servers in the cluster have the firmware installed
