Cisco 8200 & 8300 Call Manager Express - AA Message

Dears,

In the last models of CME (2900, 3900, 4300, 4400), there was an option to configure the welcoming message (Automated Attendant), either through Cisco Unity Express (which is now EOS), or B-ACD service,

I was wondering of how can we have this feature in CME using the new Cisco routers (8200, 8300),

I have a customer who wants CME and the ability to have a welcoming message (AA) for his company with only using the router,

Appreciate your reply,

Thanks,

Did you find the solution?

As far as I know, you need a Unity Connection for the Auto Attendant (AA) to work, and CME and CUC can be integrated. However, I have not tested this myself.

In the previous model 2900 and 4xxx series we configured BACD as AA for CME.

In the latest model 8200 8300 we can configure BACD auto attendant?

I managed to configure B-ACD in C8200 voice router, the Cisco TAC helped in that regard.

Hello Laith

Can you please support me in this how you configure it  ?

AFAIK it’s still done the same way as in older models of routers. See this document for how to set it up. Cisco Unified CME B-ACD and Tcl Call-Handling Applications

@Laith Ibrahim , Do we need CME License on C8200 router to enable the b-acd option?
I have a CUCM in my HO and i am planning to use this router as VG at a branch. I dont have CME license on the router.

AFAIK BACD does not require CME licenses.

You don't need CME, you will use SRST, which should be available for free with the FLEX license.
