Cisco 8851 shared lines not hanging up

Hello,

I am having issues with a Cisco 8851 shared lines not hanging up, seems to affect these firmwares:

cmterm-88xx.11-3-2MPP0001-609_REL

cmterm-88xx.11-3-3MPP0001-377_REL

firmwares.

Downgrading back to

cmterm-88xx.11-3-1MPP-697_REL

resolves the issue, but i am unable to remove the LCD sign in option in that firmware.

Steps to reproduce issue:

Assign Shared line.

Press shared line key. key goes red.

Press shared line key. key SHOULD go green but stays RED and becomes unresponsive.

Any ideas? Thanks.

Hi,

What call control are you using? also what do you mean by "unable to remove the LCD sign"?

Thanks

Thank you for your prompt response!

I very much like this Cisco phone thus far, and am really hoping to get it working properly!

Call control: FusionPBX or FreeSWITCH

"unable to remove LCD sign in"  -  on the new firmware, there is a new option,

LCD Authentication
Require Authentication for LCD Menu Access:

Which does not exist on the "working firmware" - cmterm-88xx.11-3-1MPP-697_REL
On this firmware, whenever i try to go to Recents, it requests a Password on a "Sign-in form" page

Thank you for your input!

Hi

Please refer to page 212 of the admin guide https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/cuipph/MPP/8800/english/AG/p881_b_8800-mpp-ag_new.pdf

See if it helps.

As for issues with shared lines on the other firmware versions,  its difficult to say without having logs.
If you have access to Cisco TAC, I'd advise you to open a case to investigate.
