Cisco 9861 Desk Phone Delay on dialing out

hey , i configure a 9861 Device on my lab enviorment and whenever i dial out there is big delay until the call starts

and also when i call from other device (7965) to the 9861 it also takes time until i see the call on the 9861 screen

i saw there is a dial out delay setting on the decive configuration but i change it from 5 to 0 still dosent work ,

it's not a network issue , someone know how to fix it ?

Sounds like your call is waiting for inter-digit timeout, aka the T302 timer. That happens when there are multiple options for the call routing process to consider. You can use dial plan report to check if there are multiple options found for the dial string you call and/or you can look at how the routing process is handling the call by looking into the call manager traces, ie the SDL trace files.



Response Signature


If the call goes through after a certain wait period, as @Roger Kallberg  mentioned, it could be because the CUCM is waiting for the inter-digit timer to expire. This happens when there are other routing patterns that match the number you dialed.

 

A route plan report from CUCM will also help you identify any alternative matches.
