Cisco 9971 and conference issue

Hello,

we have some Cisco 9971s with firmware sip9971.9-1-1SR1, registered on a CUCM 8.5.1.10000-26 cluster.

We have an issue with conference: when a 9971 calls a first extension, then it press Conference button and calls a second extension, it can't join the 2 calls by pressing the softkey to finalize the conference (nothing happens).

But when another IP Phone starts a conference (for example, a 7900 series phone) and adds a 9971, it is correctly joined to the conference.

All the phones are configured with a similar configuration (same device pool, MRGL, ...).

What's wrong?

I just tried this with the same phone firmware but I am running CUCM 8.5.1.11900-21 and it works. I glanced in the bug toolkit and didn't see anything public (although that may not mean much).

Have you turned on troubleshooting traces for the CCM process and pulled the SDI log? Either it's going to be obvious that something is wrong with the media resource allocation; or, it's time for a TAC case.
