Hi,
I have couple of CISCO AS5400 and would like to set up MGCP to communicate with Third party Media Gateway controller.
The objective is to use the CISCO AS5400 to just process the RTP via SIP. there is no E1/T1 Interface.
I have looked at many setup guide but all pointing the end-point set up to E1/T1 Ports..is it possible to achieve without terminating via E1/T1 Port but via Ethernet port to and end device? Hope the question make sense.
Thanks

No, MGCP in CUCM means you will use TDM.
If you wish to use something for SIP, you'd need a SIP trunk to it.

Hi,
Thank you for the reply.
Since we can not configure a sip interface as endpoint in MGCP.
Can we allocate RTP to flow via Cisco AS5400, instructed by the third party Media gateway controller?
Please refer to the attached diagram below which show what i'm trying to achieve with CISCOAS5400.
