Working with a customer to setup a Cisco ATA 190. Skimmed the administration doc but wanted to get confirmation on this. Can we use the ATA 190 without a Call Manager? We are attempting to connect this to another vendor's SIP proxy.

Hi Dan,
This should be checked with the third party with which the ATA is being integrated. Just like CUCM has the option of adding 3rd party SIP they might have a similar option.

I appreciate the response. The third party does have a SIP Proxy/Gateway to register the ATA to. Can we configure the ATA without a CCM? If so, where are those instructions. I haven't seen them. We need to assign it to an IP (not using DHCP).

It *might* be possible, notice Cisco does not test endpoints with any other call control agents, just as we do not have any documentation for trying to register it to them.
