Dear All,

I heard that we required CME 10.0 with FastTrack. Any one in our group had successfully registered CP 8831 with CME? If yes could you please, share the configuration.

Best Regards

Winai.

An 8831 will be fine using fast track, try the following config (make sure you have the usual sip config in also):

voice register pool-type  8831
 xml-config maxNumCalls 2
 xml-config busyTrigger 1
 xml-config custom sshAccess 0
 num-lines 2
 description Cisco IP Phone 8831
 reference-pooltype 7937

voice register pool  1
 busy-trigger-per-button 1
 id mac ####.####.####
 type 8831
 number 1 dn 1
 presence call-list
 dtmf-relay rtp-nte
 description 233
 codec g711ulaw
 no vad

Hi Winai,

8831 is not supported with CME 10.

you can check the CME 10 supported platforms matrix

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucme/requirements/guide/cme10spc.html

regds,

aman

Thank you Aman,

But when my colleage open case to Cisco they gave us the below

"

There is a feature you can use to configure them, which is the Fast-Track available in CME 10:

Release Notes for Cisco Unified Communications Manager Express
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucme/release/notes/CME_ReleaseNotes.html#wp
60035

"

I don't sure anyone done the configuration with FastTrack for 8831as Cisco mentioned.

Hi,

I was reading the Admin guide for CME which says :

the fast-track approach does not support the new SIP phone models that have a new call flow, new
message flow, or a new configuration file format that are not supported by the Cisco Unified CME.

thanks for sharing this new feature but I doubt 8831 is supported because it would have shown in compatibility.

Let someone revert who is aware of this new feature.

regds,

aman

Hi Carl Messer ,

just one doubt, in fast track method can we give any phone model with any protocol(sccp, sip) type as a reference?

for example for 8831 sip phone reference phone type given is 7937 which is a SCCP phone so my doubt if i gave 7975 sccp will it work?

from above thread:

voice register pool-type  8831
 xml-config maxNumCalls 2
 xml-config busyTrigger 1
 xml-config custom sshAccess 0
