Hi Team,

I am trying to  upgrade Cisco Cisco CP-7841 phone firmware from sip78xx11-0-1-00 to sip78xx.11-0-1MPP-477 using third party TFTP software is not working. Please, some one assists for me to upgrade the phone. If am wrong please correct I have followed the below procedure for upgrading the phone using TFTP software.

1. Downloaded the kern2.78xx.11-0-1MPP-477.sbn, rootfs2.78xx.11-0-1MPP-477.sbn, sboot2.78xx.11-0-1MPP-477.sbn, sip78xx.11-0-1MPP-477.loads form cisco sites and copied in TFTP root directory. Also copied the XMLDefault.cnf (see the file content below)

2. In phone, Enabled the alternate TFTP and given the ip TFTP server ip.

I can see the phone is picking the file XMLDefault.cnf through TFTP software. But the phone does not get upgraded.

XMLDefault file is only used by the phones if they are running firmware 8.X.  Starting from 9.X (and later), this file is not being used by the phone.

NOTE:  As I've mentioned in your previous threads, I suspect this setup is being used for commercial purposes and I will not be providing any assistance.  Get a reputable systems integrator to assist you in getting this setup working or look for another phone brand.
