Hi

I been experiencing multiple failures on Cisco 7941 and 7961 phones.

When there is an incomming call and you lift the handset to answer, the phone continues to ring or transfers to speaker mode.

I have rest the phone back to factory defaults, but th eproblem still persists.

Has anyone experienced the same problem?

Or is this a hardware fault and should I just RMA the phone?

This sounds like the hook switches are broken. We've found this a common problem with the 7941 & 7961 handsets. (The new 7942s & 7962s have a completely different hook switch design) If you've got maintenance on your handsets, get them swapped out. Otherwise, you can get replacement hook switches from http://www.nascsars.com/products.asp?cat=1297 GTG

1.  This is a phone issue but you've posted this in the WIRELESS section.  You can MOVE this thread (upper right-hand corner).
