I'm facing registration issue with phone model CP-7985. Phone keeps "REGISTERING" on checking the status from --> Settings menu, getting the set of message as [WAITFORTIME SET] TFTP TIMEOUT: SEP005006003FEED.cnf.XML
CM version:
Can we pull Eventviewer application logs from RTMT to determine the issue.
Verified VLAN info is correct.
Please help me out to troubleshoot the issue further

Can you run a packet capture on the IP phone and see if it is able to communicate with the cucm TFTP server? It will help in finding where exactly the registration is failing.

Hi Karthikeyan,
As Manish mentioned, packet capture will give you the complete details of what is going on from the phone point of view. In addition, you can try to get the config file from the tftp server using the below command to find out whether the config file for this phone is generated properly.
Enable tftp in your windows machine by navigating to Control panel --> Programs and features --> Turn windows features on/off
From command line, enter the following command to get phone config file
tftp -i X.X.X.X get SEP005006003FEED.cnf.xml
where X.X.X.X is the IP address of your tftp server.

Hi Manish,
Thanks for your reply.
Will get back to you, once I check for the traces on the wiresharkcapture.
