I'm trying to connect my phone to my computer and give it a firmware update but whenever I put in its IP address into my browser it just gives me an error page saying "This site can't be reached". I no longer have a warranty for the phone but I did install on my computer the firmware update for the CP-8851 with MPP but don't know how to use it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

First, verify if the phone's current firmware is an MPP version. You can check this in the phone's settings under device information. If it's not MPP, you'll need to convert the phone to MPP, which involves a licensing cost.

Alternatively, if it's not MPP, you can request the supplier to provide an MPP flavor version instead of the Enterprise one.

Note: Enterprise version phones are designed to work with Cisco call control platforms like CUCM and CME.
