Cisco CUBE to Call Manager Sip Trunk

Running into an issue sending an inbound SIP PSTN call from the CUBE to the Call Manager, have setup per provider docs but the call is failing with a  SIP/2.0 404 Not Found, not sure if it cannot find the SIP trunk to Call Manager or if its a config issue....   See config and results below:

Hi Deji,

Thanks for the response. I however still have this issue. I didnt come back because the project was suspended, but I've been instructed to cut over to this circuit and this issue is still pressing.

I contacted the provider, quoting your statement above but they maintained that their end is good since it issue does not appear on clients network.

The only difference between the other clients and my network, is they that they use plain SIP PBX while I use CUCM with Voice Gateway.

Any suggestion will be highly appreciated.

I am not sure there is any other thing to say other than what I have already said. Your provider need to send either 183 session progress or 180 ringing, but not both. Go back to them and tell their end is not okay. Show them the logs.

I completely agree with Deji , ITSP should not send both 183 and 180 on a single call.

Just to try a workaround can you do these changes and let me know the behavior.

1. Enable 100rel on outbound dial-peer towards CUCM.

dial-peer voice XXX voip

voice-class sip rel1xx require 100rel

2. Go to SIP profile of CUCM sip trunk and enable 100rel.

SIP Rel1XX Options

Send PRACK if 1XX contains SDP

 

And do not disable early media from sip profile and also from CUBE while testing with these changes.

I only implemented you suggestion on the SIP profile of the CUCM and voila.....I can hear the ringback message.

PRACK was exchanged between ITSP and CUBE but not between CUBE and CUCM  , so my sole purpose to enable 100rel in that call leg is to extend media flow till call manager which i think was remain terminated till CUBE's ITSP interface by the absence of PRACK in CUBE to CUCM call leg.

Something which can be verified by enabling packet capture at CUBE interface and looking at the media packets.

I would love to see if ITSP still sends 183 and 180 on a single call.
