Cisco enhanced line mode & missed calls

I am looking to enable Enhanced Line Mode on some of our 8851's where users would like additional lines/BLF's to appear. My question is, I would still like the Missed Calls button to remain. As of now with ELM, it looks like the only way to view missed calls is to go into Settings>Recents, and I don't have many users who are accustomed to going into Settings at all.

Has anyone found a way to keep Missed Calls as a button or softkey?

You are correct, AFAIK there is no way to assign missed call as a feature key so going to ELM removes it, it's a trade off you have to decide on. I am on a big fan of ELM feature as it also removes the ability to easily manage multiple calls on the phone as you no longer have access to session buttons which can be problematic for someone handling multiple calls at a time.

Since firmware 12.1.1 with 8845/65 phones:

"You can also use the Navigation cluster to see your call history. Press the Navigation up key when in an idle screen and a list of your recent calls is displayed."

I assume other 88xx desk phones would have the same feature.

I was able to fix this by adding a "Recent Calls" to the bottom row of softkeys. Switching to the "Personal Conference User" softkey template did this in my particular situation.

Hey there! I am trying to do the same thing but don't see the Recent Calls button. Are you on CME? If not, what version of CUCM are you on?

Thanks!

T

I'm using version 12.0.1.22017-1.

I also see "recent" was added to "personal conf user" softkey template in CME 12.3.

You can also create a missed call list phone service (without enterprise subscription) [Device, Device settings, phone services], then added a service URL button in the device profile pointing to this new service.
